no stone unturned!

Different from my technical part that I have to do every day, One of the things I’m doing these days is that I’m conducting a series of workshops called “silver lining” that aims to let people discover the shining side of the darkest moment.

Basically, it seeks to expound that no matter however dark the night be, every cloud has a silver lining.

Each workshop covers a different topic related to hopes and possibilities and attempts to steer fellow attendies for changing their cynical perspectives.

This series of 23 lectures has come about 25 percent of its way and is being attended by over 250 people each time from various backgrounds ranging from college/university students to corporate human resource, administration staff, school students, housewives, management folks and so on.

The reason why I had to bring this info here is because of the immense pleasure I felt yesterday while delivering the lecture, especially because I’ve been a bit apprehensive before starting the lecture due to my health issues, incomplete preparations and the general, nourvous myself.

Before starting the lecture, I’ve had a choked throat and a terrible voice due to the cough and cold that I’m having yet again.

Further, i just haven’t been able to put together all the presentation material that I’ve planned, hence was somewhat unsure if I’d be able to put across what i was intending prior to the workshop.

The topic was: “no stone unturned”.

Often, in life many of us do not reach to the intended goal, simply because we just haven’t tried all that we could.

Its my belief out of my personal experiences that In your quest to succeed, you never know how close you are to succeeding and will never know which stone or opportunity will be the one that will create the breakthrough.

You may have turn over a lot of stones and sort through a lot opportunities to reach your objective. But with each one you are moving closer to your goals.

The stone or the opportunity that you decide to overlook . . . . could be the one that would make the difference.

Be a seeker of opportunities and be the one to turn over the stones on your success journey and the one that your seeking will be there for you.

Success takes persistence, time and effort . . . . Commit yourself to succeed and with each stone that you turn over you are getting one stone closer your goals.

Its simple, if you try everything, something would work!

Opposite to my apprehensions, the yesterday’s lecture went on great and its been in fact one of the most enjoyable workshops that I’ve ever conducted.

Without conferring any philosophical statement, I’m just simply happy that I’ve been able to turn my worries in a constructive direction, perhaps because of the same silver lining that I’ve been able to observe during the darks of health issues, incomplete preparations and all my personal obscurities.

thank you so much each of you folks of my wonderful silver lining team, its you guys that makes us worth something.

Following is what I’ve said for summarizing the topic by the way:

I'm looking for a reason, I'm watching the signs,

This head on collision is a race against time,

Is this an illusion? It seems so unreal,

This manifestation is drawing me near.

Something to grab a hold of,

Capture a glimpse from the mind's eye,

Releasing all that I contain,

And all I perceive by.

I Feel the pressure building,

Got to take this journey on my own,

I have to seize the moment,

Leave no stone unturned until I'm done.

I walk this Earth, Until I stagger and fallTo my knees,

I won't rest my bones If I'm awake or asleep,

There'll be no relief.

Just like a vapor, moments flash by,

Way beyond measure like the infinite sky,

Realization, a token of faith,

A constant reminder of my ultimate grave.

I Feel the pressure building,

Got to take this journey on my own,

I have to seize the moment,

Leave no stone unturned until I'm done....

Silence inside my head

well then, i'm really observing that there's a serious and immediate need for me to cit down with my own self and sort out the tussle going in me.
i'm feeling sad, hurted and disappointed about the things that i'm not able to bare because of someone who is so important to me. there's too much to write, but my silence has taken over all my words and all my emotions. i feel an unplumbed silence around me, and shits, i don't want this to happen.
this is what happening to me till i get over myself with this unbarable silence:

Silence inside my head,
solitude shaping my thoughts.
Bitter melodies hummed under breath,
violence just under the surface.

Loneliness creating unbearable pressure,
explosions in my mind.
Shaking in passions unreleased,
pain expanding outside myself.

Tears drain my strength,
frustration consumes my days.
Sultry dreams of you all night,
opening my eyes to emptiness.

Pulled away from hope,
shaking as silence enfolds again.
Enveloped in inarticulate thoughts,
crying out without a sound.

Muffled by my own fears,
tempered by past misfortunes.
Exhausted without a cause,
laying twisted in blankets.

Something touching my soul,
leaving me vulnerable.
Loving you with such distance,
leaving me hurting alone.

Anger built within frustration,
self-loathing in control of my emotions.
Sabotaging myself into sadness,
tears staining my heart.

I don't want to be alone,
I don't know how to live.
Will your touch will heal me,
Will your love bring me to life.

How you have made me weak,
you can make me strong.
Sniffling away my tears,
burying my lost hope.

I crawl out of bed,
alone I face the day.
Solitude shaping my thoughts,
silence inside my head.

don't stop loving me?

With the recent occurrences happening with me, I’ve got to learn that in life, the person that brings out the best in you and the one that makes you strong is actually your weekness too.
However strong I might be in front of the whole world, there’s someone who at times is my biggest weekness, especially when the person ever get stray.
Hey, you really are my biggest strength and the biggest weekness. You’ve got all the powers to build or destroy me, just please, please don’t stop loving me if I’m really not that bad. Please?

Don’t stop loving me
For I might break
Don’t stop loving me
For it’ll be a mistake

Without your love
I don’t know what I’ll do
Without your love
I might turn blue

Your love gives me energy
Helps me stay alive
Without it I might stop living,
You give me life

when you're with me,
Everything is bright
So don’t stop loving me
For I might lose sight

I love you with all my heart
And hope you feel the same
I always will love you
For you help keep me sane

Together we may struggle
but without you all I feel is pain.
Sometimes I may seem confused
but there is one thing that will never change.

The feelings I have for you don't fade or go away.
They continue to grow stronger each day with every kiss.
Life without you is something I can't imagine.
From within my soul, it's you I'd miss.

I could believe in fate and put up a fight.
But you and I are not written.
Although there is a truth I'd like to write.

We both have scars,
with memories that can not be erased,
but together we are stronger.
In your hands my heart has been placed.

This is a choice I have made.
I understand the risk I take.
Please hold my heart dear to you.
Careful to never break.

If you do stumble or fall,
please don't forget to gather all the pieces.,
It's your choice of what to do with them.
My love for you never ceases……..

Please hear what i'm not saying

Those who know me might be already aware
that I’m usually bad in explaining myself and expressing the emotions,

that Sometimes, i’d feel some things that I won’t tell, and sometimes I’d tell somethings that I’d not feel,
That the least I do is I get quiet when I don’t like something and so on.
I know that I’m difficult to understand, but I wish someone could ever hear what I’m not saying.
The following few lines might not mean anything to most of you, but these are just I feel, and goes out for someone who matters so much to me.
No expectations, girl, its just my way of letting my thoughts out….

Please Hear What I'm Not Saying
Don't be fooled by me.
Don't be fooled by the face I wear
For I wear a mask, a thousand masks,
Masks that I'm afraid to take off
And none of them is me.

Pretending is an art that's second nature with me,
but don't be fooled,
for God's sake don't be fooled.
I give you the impression that I'm secure,
that all is sunny and unruffled with me,
within as well as without,
that confidence is my name and coolness my game,
that the water's calm and I'm in command
and that I need no one,
but don't believe me.

My surface may be smooth but
my surface is my mask,
ever-varying and ever-concealing.
Beneath lies no complacence.
Beneath lies confusion, and fear, and aloneness.
But I hide this. I don't want anybody to know it.
I panic at the thought of my weakness exposed.
That's why I frantically create a mask to hide behind,
a nonchalant sophisticated facade,
to help me pretend,
to shield me from the glance that knows.

But such a glance is precisely my salvation,
my only hope, and I know it.
That is, if it is followed by acceptance,
If it is followed by love.
It's the only thing that can liberate me from myself
from my own self-built prison walls
from the barriers that I so painstakingly erect.
It's the only thing that will assure me
of what I can't assure myself,
that I'm really worth something.
But I don't tell you this. I don't dare to. I'm afraid to.

I'm afraid you'll think less of me,
that you'll laugh, and your laugh would kill me.
I'm afraid that deep-down I'm nothing
and that you will see this and reject me.

So I play my game, my desperate, pretending game
With a façade of assurance without
And a trembling child within.
So begins the glittering but empty parade of Masks,
And my life becomes a front.
I tell you everything that's really nothing,
and nothing of what's everything,
of what's crying within me.
So when I'm going through my routine
do not be fooled by what I'm saying.
Please listen carefully and try to hear what I'm not saying,
what I'd like to be able to say,
what for survival I need to say,
but what I can't say.

I don't like hiding.
I don't like playing superficial phony games.
I want to stop playing them.
I want to be genuine and spontaneous and me
but you've got to help me.
You've got to hold out your hand
even when that's the last thing I seem to want.
Only you can wipe away from my eyes
the blank stare of the breathing dead.
Only you can call me into aliveness.
Each time you're kind, and gentle, and encouraging,
each time you try to understand because you really care,
my heart begins to grow wings --
very small wings,
but wings!
With your power to touch me into feeling
you can breathe life into me.
I want you to know that.
I want you to know how important you are to me,
how you can be a creator--an honest-to-God creator --
of the person that is me
if you choose to.
You alone can break down the wall behind which I tremble,
you alone can remove my mask,
you alone can release me from the shadow-world of panic,
from my lonely prison,
if you choose to.
Please choose to.

Do not pass me by.
It will not be easy for you.
A long conviction of worthlessness builds strong walls.
The nearer you approach me
the blinder I may strike back.
It's irrational, but despite what the books may say about man
often I am irrational.
I fight against the very thing I cry out for.
But I am told that love is stronger than strong walls
and in this lies my hope.
Please try to beat down those walls
with firm hands but with gentle hands
for a child is very sensitive.

Who am I, you may wonder?
I am someone you know very well.
For I am every man you meet
And you are everything that I need.
So, Please Hear What I'm Not Saying, if you can….

what's love

Well so, I sincerely appologize for the very long time since I last wrote a blog post. I have been plagued with a disease called "laziness" and it crippled my hands from interpreting the thoughts on to paper. But today is special.I had an epiphany today and I could not let these thoughts fall through.
Recently, I’ve realized that I seem to have found   someone who  finally lushed my heart the craziest possible way.
This new experience that i’m experiencing from the last some months now has  helped me redefine and better understand this thing called "love". However, I’ve also realized at the same time that the love has different forms, different versions, different ways and the different meanings in the different situations, different conditions and much depends on person-to-person.
I think that its almost impossible defining what love is.
Its tough, its easy,  it shines, it fades, it has colors and shades,
its day, its night, its dark, its light, its rite, its wrong, its a prose, its a son, it is sadness, it is happiness, it is pain, it drives you  insane,
there is feeling, there is healing, you  make promises, you  swear,  there is security, there is fear,
it makes, it breaks, it tears, it mends, it rises, it bends,
its a jewel, its a crown, it comes up and down,
you  sacrifise, you  choose, you  win, you  lose, you  hide, you  find,
its in heart, its in mind, its loving, its craving, its a fire, its a desire,
its giving, its forgiving, you  need it, you  creed it, you  want it, you  grant it,
it is an inspirtation, its an aspiration, it is desperation, it is frustration,
it makes you  smile, make you  cry, it even makes you  wonder why,

love is deep as oceans, with so many emotions, much that you  try to prescribe, love really you  can't describe.

P.S: thank you, girl, that you made me realize and even think about all that, I haven’t been this way ever before.

do what you want to

Interestingly these days, I somehow get to find one or the other poem for every situation that I’m going through. Its perhaps the magic or the influence of the person who matters in most of these situation, but I’m seriously amazed and bemused at the same time to discover that poet in myself. I’m of course not writing new poem each time, but a poet is also who can relate the poems with his/her own situations and put them on right places.

Here goes another, and I really mean it!

There are people that will investigate you

They'll insinuate, intimidate and complicate you

Don't ever wait or hesitate to state the fate that awaits those who

Try to shake or take you

Don't let them break you

You can do anything you want to do

It's not wrong what I sing it's true

You can do anything you want to do

Do what you want to

People that despise you will analyse then criticise you

They'll scandalise and tell lies until they realize

You are someone they should have apologised to

Don't let these people compromise you

Be wise too

You can do anything you want to do

It's not wrong what I sing it's true

You can do anything you want to do

Do what you want to

Hey you you're not their puppet on a string

You can do everything

It's true if you really want to

You can do anything you want

Just like I do

You can do anything you want to do

doesn't matter!

Hey! So its again several days since I’ve last written out here, but I hope it doesn’t matter. Right isn’t it?
Hmm, so though I’ve got a lot of things to write about, I’m in the hurry of going for a lecture, so there’s this poem that goes out for someone who really matters.
This is quite a lot of the tussle that’s going in me right now, but no context telling, simply because I’m in the hurry to move, and that this is a long and somewhat complicated thing. I hope that does not matter to you…, and if it does, I’ll write it out some other day.

Hmm, he-he
Oh, hey
Doesn't matter (It doesn't matter)
Doesn't matter at all!
Doesn't matter what your friends are telling you
Doesn't matter what my family's saying too
It just matters that I'm in love with you
It only matters that you love me too
It doesn't matter if they won't accept you
I'm accepting of you and the things you do
Just as long as it's you
Nobody but you, baby, baby
My love for you, unconditional love too
Gotta get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up and show you that it¡
Doesn't really matter what the eye is seeing
Cause I'm in love with the inner being
And it doesn't really matter what they believe
What matters to me is you're in love with me
Just what I asked for, you're so loving and kind
And I can't believe you're mine
Doesn't matter if you're feeling insecure
Doesn't matter if you're feeling so unsure
Cause I'll take away the doubt within your heart
And show that my love will never hurt or harm
Doesn't matter what the pain we go through
Doesn't matter if the money's gone too
Just as long as I'm with you
Nobody but you, baby, baby

Doesn't matter what they say
Cause you know I'm gonna love you anyway
Doesn't matter what they do
Cause my love will always be with you

My love for you unconditional love too
Gotta get up, get up
Get up, get up, get up and show you that
My love is true, and it's just for you, uh

Doesn't really matter what the eye is seeing
Cause I'm in love with the inner being
And it doesn't really matter what they believe
What matters to me is you're in love with me

Go With the Flow!

All of us have different ways  to live and deal with the life and its problems.
There are different philosophies,  theories, methods, ways and mechanisms that suggest to solve the problems and control the situations in our favor, but  No matter how much structure we create in our lives, no matter how many good habits we build, there will always be things that we cannot control — and if we let them, these things can be a huge source of anger, frustration and stress.
A lot has happened with me in the last several months.
While there were great moments like I’ve scored amongst top 30 in a grand  national cooking competition, had musical concert with famous mika singh, scored amongst top 3  in a swimming competition, managed getting decent marks in exams, earned several hundred thousand dollars, a lot of wonderful business trips around the world, hang out with friends, so much of chatter with friends on phone and internet messangers, porn movies and  dirty stuff etc,
I’ve had severe health issues, business losses, conflicts with business partners, family issues, hacking of servers,  workloads,  and actually a whole bunch of difficult things.
One of these days, during a telephonic conversation a friend asked me what do I think is the best approach for dealing with life’s problems, and I’ve answered what I’ve been always telling to everyone, “learn to go with the flow!”
this  brought an interesting debate whether one should go with the flow or against the flow?
According to her,  its better to go against the flow.  She thinks that Change is inevitable, yes. But don’t think for a minute that humans don’t have control
over it, because we do. As the species in charge of this earth, we are artisans of change. Just look at what Al Gore has undertaken in the name of extending
the life on our planet. Just look at how far the human race has come.
Interesting perspective  isn’t it?
I, however still believe in going with the flow.
when I say “go with the flow” it does not symbolize “following the majority” or to silence my opinions.
To go with the flow is  rolling with the punches.  accepting change without getting angry or frustrated.  taking what life gives you,
rather than trying to mold life to be exactly as you want it to be.
I use “go with the flow” as a mantra, an optimism and a life style. To go with the flow is to accept all of the noise, energy, and joy that life brings. The good, bad, unexpected, and painful times are going to come at us no matter what; how we chose to react to them shapes who we are.

For example, let’s say you’ve created the perfect peaceful morning routine. You’ve structured your mornings so that you do things that bring you calm and
happiness. And then a water pipe bursts in your bathroom and you spend a stressful morning trying to clean up the mess and get the pipe fixed.
Suppose you found heavy traffic jam on your way to office, and you got late in reaching the office.
You have a very important assignment to complete, and suddenly you found that the system has crashed.

You get angry. You are disappointed, because you didn’t get to do your morning routine. You are stressed from all these changes to what you’re used to.
It ruins your day because you are frustrated for the rest of the day.

Not the best way to handle things, is it? And yet if we are honest, most of us have problems like this, with things that disrupt how we like things, with
people who change what we are used to, with life when it doesn’t go the way we want it to go.
The best way, in such situations is to accept the realities and finding the next best solution rather getting stuck and disappointed.
Someone once said that the successful people do not do different things, they just do the things differently!
Its all about keep moving no matter what, keeping optimism alive, having faith on yourself, and of course think creatively.
There’s a poem that summarise most of what i’ve been able to learn  from the life till now:

It is the most natural
To be yourself.
But it is also arduous
To keep your sense
Of being authentic
And being unique
Among the authorities
In the world of technique

Until you discover
That all is in you:
Every knowledge and answer,
And the Source of the True
As well as the harmony
You sought from outside -
Your inner reality
Holds the true paradise.

If you only believe it,
Overflow it with light
And remove what is weediest,
Growing seeds of delight
You could hope for the richest
Harvest - bringing in Love
And enjoy the achievements,
Which are treasures above.

That is how you’ll be wealthy,
But as free as the wind,
Always new and ascending
To the higher beliefs.
Yes, you could be a fighter
In the quest of the soul
But it will be much lighter,
If you go with the flow!

hey, i'm back!

Hey, so I’m back!
However unbelievable that it might be, this is indeed me, writing on this blog after ages!
wow. It's been ages since I've last written here. I wasn't even sure this account would work. I almost thought it didn't when an ad page came up with a
tiny link for 'No Thanks' before it continued.
A lot has happened since I’ve last written here, everywhere, and with everyone!
The life treated me   somewhat fair and somewhat harsh, but for sure  its been an intresting and a learning time all together.
I’ve actually almost forgotten that I have a blog here, and you’d also have forgotten for that matter. no?  However, there’s an interesting story how I got back here today.
These days, I’m having blows with the health. blows that have highly affected my work and efficiency.
Recently,  I’ve had a real bad cough and cold, and I have completely lost my voice–people can’t even understand me when I whisper. This is, of course, highly
Ironic, as each time I talk to someone, I need to give prove that its me!
and I cannot even speak
one word!
. I’m doing a lot of listening and keeping silent, and as I do so, I realize how frequently
words are used to explain ourselves, prove ourselves, justify ourselves.
I just imagined how terrible it could be if I ever go mute, and it is this realization that I decided to write here, as keeping silent is just not possible for the chatterboxes like me!
And now, while writing this post I’m realizing that I should write more often.
Besides the reasons of health, I’ve also found that there are so many things that I’ve not been able to share with anyone, and this blog is the best place to write them out. Hence,   I’m not promising anything at this point, but I’m definetly going to try that I write here more often!
Oh, and as I just said that I’ve learned a great deal from the last  several months, I’m reminiscing  a  song that will sum this up quite well:

Sing me a song, you're a singer
Do me a wrong, you're a bringer
The Devil is never a maker
The less that you give, you're a taker
So it's on and on and on
...it's Heaven and Hell, oh well

The lover of life's not a sinner
The ending is just a beginner
The closer you get to the meaning
The sooner you'll know that you're dreaming
So it's on and on and on
Oh it's on and on and on
It goes on and on and on, Heaven and Hell
I can tell, fool, fool!

Well, if it seems to be real, it's illusion
For every moment of truth, there's confusion
Love can be seen as the answer
But nobody bleeds for the dancer
And it's on and on, on and on and on....

They say that life's a carousel
Spinning fast, you've got to ride it well
The world is full of Kings and Queens
Who blind your eyes then steal your dreams
...it's Heaven and Hell, oh well

And they'll tell you black is really white
The moon is just the sun at night
And when you walk in golden halls
You get to keep the gold that falls
It's Heaven and Hell
Oh well,
So it's on and on and on
Oh it's on and on and on
It goes on and on and on, Heaven and Hell
I can tell, fool, fool!

Hope, Love, Life!

There are two types of people in this world, based on how an individual considers and approaches other people, events and opportunities; based on how they approach life. On one side is the eternal optimist, while the other side has the cynical pessimist. Well, there is also a third type - for those who oscillate between the two approaches; but that's just transitional! I have always been an optimist. A full blown, self declared, I-don't-know-another-way-to-live-life kind of optimist. That attitude has helped me at every step of my life. That, coupled with hard work, is what helped me to dream of being where i'm today, and actually get to where i'm today. That again is what is helping me continue to dream further, and work towards these unknown arenas. And when I find myself in a deep hole, a mountain too high to scale, a fight too bleak to win, a path too dark to tread – this is exactly what helps me through. This attitude has occasionally landed me in trouble – because I simply see the good in people and start off relationships with trust and take for granted the other person's trust. But on the other side, the positive attitude helped me spot opportunities, stick with them during difficulties, utilize them best, and always keep improving, without stagnating at any point.

Aaah – speaking of opportunities. Well, they have a mind of their own. They show up at your door when they please, stay with you for as long as they like and are very picky with who they want to stay with. It needs a lot of skill and vision to identify them when they show up, and a lot more patience and effort to win over them, own them and make them stay with you! The bigger the opportunity is – the higher the effort and the longer the process. And if you do something that pisses of Ms. Opportunity, you're in for some serious trouble!

Well – if it is not evident yet, I managed to piss off a very important, life-impacting Ms. Opportunity! I am in a deep hole, in a pitch dark corner, with a tall mountain to climb – and from where I am, this looks like a very long and difficult fight! And yes – like always, I am stubbornly optimistic, and eternally hopeful. Unfortunately, our relationships with some opportunities don't have the best beginnings, but as long as you are committed to it and continue to put in the time and effort – most opportunities have the best of endings. I truly believe and hope this is one has one such happy ending too.

At this juncture, I want to quote Ms. Elizabeth Gilbert,
famous American novelist and author of " Eat, Pray, Love: One Woman's Search for Everything Across Italy, India and Indonesia", the book that's been on the NYTimes best seller list for more than 100 weeks! She said something that resonates deeply with me –
"To sit patiently with a yearning that has not yet been fulfilled, and to trust that, that fulfillment will come, is quite possibly one of the most powerful "magic skills" that human beings are capable of. It has been noted by almost every ancient wisdom tradition." She talks about a few things here – patience, yearning, trust, hope; all that comes with the territory, when you're an optimist.

The thing is, moments like these show you how much you want a certain opportunity. It is one thing making largesse statements about pursuing something forever, while it is another thing to stay committed to it when the end looks bleak! Even more so when everything around you seems to fall apart (bad things come in heaps don't they) and you find yourself digging deeper and deeper! I've had a difficult time, but it has also put everything in perspective for me. I've had time to think about myself, people around me, where I'm heading in life and what's important for me going forward in life. There's a lot more clarity, more sense of purpose and direction and an overwhelming feeling that "this is it"! I am more committed than ever to what I want to do. And with it, there is this calmness - of knowing what I want to do, and knowing that I will do what I want to do without the slightest of doubts in my head.

Speaking in Ms. Elizabeth Gilbert's words, as my set my sail on course for this pursuit, I just want to sign off saying "In this dark moment, with this challenge ahead of me – I'm gonna be patient with my yearning, with the trust that my hope will come true – hopefully sooner than later!"

PS:
You can wish me luck if you want, i'm sure that the good wishes helps, even if the science does not believe in this that much.

happy new year!

Hello! its 2012 on the calendar now, means the 2011 is no more.
In the words of the rabbit, I'm late!!! It's almost the end of the fifth day of 2012 and I'm late wishing you folks here!
How strange it feels to me the post that I’ve written in the January of last year, (2011), where I’ve scribbled my first post of that year, memorizing the events of the year 2010, and now, it’s a yet another year!
I feel like time has passed really so dam quick this year, but just yesterday when I told exactly this to a friend, she gave me a pretty philosophical, still convincing answer, –
Time has not passed faster. That is only an illusion caused by my hectic, kayotic life. I’ve done so much at a time and so fast that time seemed like passing faster and faster. If I would have stopped for a while and just appreciated the moment, time would seem to pass much slower.
I'm kinda inclined to her answer, but still confused how is that possible.
Anyways, whether or not I realize,
Another year has gone. A very eventful year indeed. We bade our farewell to many people and welcomed many into this world. We made Anna the superhero of today and sang Kolaveri Di for no specific reason. Two young boys lost their lives while protecting their girl friends. People were getting ready to play censors for internet users. Salman’s Bodyguard did what Shahrukh’s Ra.1 and Don 2 couldn’t. etc
well so, it’s a new year.
Beginning of new friendships and endings of a few..
A ray of new found love with a pinch of being left by an old beau..
Finding new career ways & leaving the old ones..
Smiling in happy times & crying when got burnt..
Learning a new chapter with each passing day &
forgetting it the next..
Loving those late night conversations and those all time favorite texts..
Birth of little nephews and nieces..
& the death of those near ones who left us with broken pieces..
Some happy and some hard times..
the happy ones filled love, while the hard ones made me the diamond that shines..
This one year was a lot to handle..
But, Yes I am on for yet another Gamble!

Recently, I watched a wonderful ad of Coca Cola that talks so much about optimism prevailing over pessimism, people fighting for good over bad. Yes, the day may not be smoke free yet but hey! we are still wishing everyone on a new year. We are still wishing and hoping and dreaming about an unknown year.
There is a sense to optimism in everybody and that is what makes me feel good about it.

Its time for us to walk towards our dreams.
What a better present for self can be other than identifying your right priorities and work out plans to achieve during the year. No, I don't have anything to quit but I actually want to adopt a few. Some good habits I shall try to adopt.
Top amongst them is a better time management, where I believe I’m lacking somewhat.
Also, I’m hoping to do better with my IT company, learn new lessons of life and discover some more amazing friends.
Actually, the list of things that I’d like to adopt is fairly big, perhaps I’ll do another post on that.

What would you like to adopt this year? You can tell via comments section if you like.

So much to hope and so much to dream about! So many moments and so many walks! The journey continues as you smile at your past with love and starts flirting with future. Give yourself a present, live to dream, live to be alive. Today is always new. Relish it! May the best happen to all of you always! Spoil yourself with love!
Happy New Year, 2012!

a terrible day!

Almost everyone of us had bad days in office, and I’m no exception at all.
Though I have had so many bad days in office before, but this recent one was really weird and twitchy.
Before I can tell you what happened to me, I first must bore you with a few technicalities of my job.

I’m working as managing director for an IT company established by myself, called daedal technovations pvt. ltd. the company works to develop a wide range of IT solutions ranging from software applications, web solutions, internet marketing, search engine optimization, IT consultancy, training and education etc.
Obviously, the office consists of several computer systems, without which you can’t imagine an IT company at all.
All the computers and other devices deployed at the office use electricity and we are not using any backup devices except UPSs attached with almost each of the computers.

It was Monday, around 8:30 in the morning, I reached in the office after a relaxing weekend.
All set to work, i’ve started the computers, the servers, printers, as well as other necessary devices in order to start working.
I’ve started looking the day’s to-do list, opened email account, entered user name and password, and just when i’ve hit enter on sign in, the power went off all of a sudden.
Oh no! it was dark all around, UPS beeping and also, sound of heavy rain drops poring outside
I kept checking the emails expecting that the power will get back in a few minutes.
I kept on checking, responding, and writing new emails to staff, clients and others as my daily routine.
The beeps of the UPS got faster and faster, and finally it has given the last beep so I had to turn the computer off before it could do by itself.
I still wasn’t that worried, and have been thinking that this power cut is momentarily
Minutes turned into hour and I’ve started getting calls from clients asking me to send their works. I just assured them to send shortly and continued waiting for power to come.
There wasn’t anyone other then me and a peon at office, because it has been raining so high outside and people couldn’t come.
I thought to listen some music for time pass, so turned my laptop on. Heard few songs, and goodness, it has beeped for low battery.
My next option to kill the time was mobilephone, where I had copied some good new songs just on Sunday.
Played few of them, and my luck, it has also shown “low battery” status.
Actually, I just forgot to charge my laptop and mobile phone due to relaxing ambiance of weekend. 

Oh no!
It was 11:00 on the clock, and I was left with no further option to amuse myself.
The rain was continuing with the same high pace, so noone could come to the office still, neither I could go out anywhere

Monday, uncertain powercut, clients shouting for their work, dark in the room, heavy rain outside, all alone in office, unable to talk with anyone, mobilephone and laptops discharged, bored, scared, bemused and helpless, still waiting for the power to get back, it was really so awful.

Trust me, I just kept on waiting forlorn for something better to happen, but neither the rain got stop so that I could run off from this place, nor the electricity restored so that I could work.
Trust me, i’ve waited till around 4:30 in the evening when the rain got lower and i finally got a chance to come out and get back home.

Gosh, what a terrible experience it was.

The incidence made me to think that Electricity has become such an integral part of our daily lives, yet it is easy to take it for granted. Practically everything we do revolves around electricity
in one way or another. What would happen if we woke up tomorrow and there was no electricity available? Would our lives change that much? Let’s consider
the various activities that would be affected if electricity disappeared one morning.

If you set your alarm clock the night before to wake you up in the morning, chances are you probably slept in. Unless you happen to have an alarm clock
that is powered by batteries, you will be likely to awake late to a powerless alarm clock. Even if your alarm clock has a battery backup, how many of
us really check to make sure the batteries aren’t dead on a regular basis?

After you light a candle so you don’t have to stumble around your house, you may find yourself heading straight to the kettle to make a cup of tea. You
can imagine your frustration when you go to boil the kettle only to be denied by a lack of power.

Now it is time to shower and get ready for work. If you have an electric shower you will immediately encounter a problem because it won’t work. If you
use an electric shaver likewise, hopefully you have a disposable razor stashed somewhere to use as a backup. There are other morning related accessories
that require electricity including your hair dryer.

Tired, Overslept, no coffee, no shower - bad day at work
Getting to work is going to be a nightmare. If it is wintertime it will be dark and there will be no streetlights. Think about the number of traffic lights
that you pass through during your commute. Every one of these lights is likely to be shutdown. Even if they have a backup power source, chances are that
they are reliant on electricity in one form of the other. They probably won’t be working properly anyway as most these days are controlled by a computer
system, which will be likely to have shut down.

After sitting through hours of traffic you may finally make it to work. Depending on what you do for a living, there might not be much work for you to
take care of. Fax machines, computers, and many other pieces of office machinery will be out of service unless your company has a backup generator. That
will leave you sitting in a dark office chatting with the rest of your fellow co-workers who were able to make it in.

As you climb into your car to head home, the low petrol light pops on when you turn on the engine. The traffic that you endured going into work has depleted
your fuel supply. While it might seem easy enough to stop at the petrol station, remember that the fuel pumps are powered by electricity and the computer
tills will all have stopped working.
No petrol = Mad Max!

By the time you do get home, the thought of a nice cold bottle of beeror softdrink from the fridge will seem pretty good. Too bad that bottle of beer is no longer
cold. Whatever food you have in your refrigerator and freezer is likely to go bad quickly with no electricity to keep it cold. Hopefully you don’t have
a microwave or an electric range to cook with. Neither appliance will do you much good in this situation. A quick look through your camping gear may
reveal an old cooking stove that you can easily prepare meals on.

Clearly life as we know it would change completely without electricity. It is easy to think of all the little things we would have to do without if electricity
ceased to exist. Along with all of the luxuries like TV, there are many bigger and more vital things that would be affected by the lack of electricity.

Think about your drinking water. Chances are it is run through some type of purification plant before it ever reaches you. If there is no electricity to power the different systems that a purification plant relies on, there will be no clean water to drink. The same can be said for our waste disposal
plants. Think about what would happen if all of our waste began to build up; cities would start to stink.
All the water will be horrible as well….

Hospitals would barely function without electricity. There are numerous different machines that doctors rely on to help diagnose different ailments. There
are also machines that are used to monitor certain vital signs during procedures. Without electricity, illnesses could go undetected and patients could
fall into cardiac arrest without anyone noticing.

The food industry has greatly benefited from the use of electricity. Think of the sophisticated packaging plants that exist and the different types of machinery
that each one relies on. How would we get food from the farm into each of our houses without electricity?

While so many aspects of our lives would be altered without electricity, it is not the end of the world, but the consequences would be pretty disastrous.
Economies would collapse and there would be major public unrest. There would certainly be growing pains as we discovered new ways to accomplish different
tasks. It is important to realise that we existed for thousands of years before electricity became a major influence in our lives. We would eventually
figure out how to exist without it once again.

Just looking back at a few of the daily activities, there are already alternatives for some of the obstacles we might encounter. Open fires can be used
to cook our food and candles can be used to provide light where it is needed.

It is easy to see all of the bad things that would happen if we were to lose our electricity. What might not be so obvious are the good things that might
happen. If we are forced to walk more instead of driving our cars everywhere, our health would improve. Without things like cars and factories emitting
greenhouse gasses, our planet would be much healthier.

Having said that it wouldn’t be much fun and life as we are used to living it would be gone.

Oof, I’m tarified just by thinking about it, but then, we better have to be ready for any.
Calamity. The incidence has given me this lesson that how important it is to have backup batteries, power generators and other backup devices.
Also, I now have brought a non electrical guitar, drum and some other instruments in office so that I can do something productive when something similar happens again. Oh, but I still hope that my luck won’t be that dam adverse to let me see this all again!

life goes on!

Today, When it's pouring outside and I’m looking at a misty glass, trying to figure out what lies beyond, I seemed to have gone to that Zen moment, where nothing matters and
still everything matters.

We have one life and it can be as simple as a line drawn on the black board and still it ends up feeling complicated.
like a painting by toddler, you think it means something but when asked he will only surprise you with what it is supposed to mean!

You think you are in peace with yourself, with your life but often you think that way is not enough for that to last.

One life... and still why should it take us so long to figure it out, to figure ourselves, and sometimes even that does not happen..

And yes relationships.... that make life so interesting.

They make you feel loved, they make you feel drowned, they make you feel useless, they make you feel hated, they make you feel pampered and they can even
make you feel like living forever or may be never!

Why do we loose friends?
Why do we fall in love?
Why do we fight with the ones we love?
Why do people break our hearts?
Why relations which don’t matter makes us cry?
Why do we have to pretend at times?
Why do we feel the need to run away some times?
Why do some plans never see the sunlight?
And why do the unplanned take the flight?

Life is eroded with vain vapours of emotions, Twists, turns, changes, incomprehensible Pains, thrusts, pillories, stings, bewilderment, frustration, and hordes of complexities,
But with all these, there also is love, amity, pleasure, valor, passion, dreams, ambitions, achievements, and success.
Believe it or not, the life has to go on in all the situations, whether we act as cowards or heroes. Life has no other discipline to impose, if we would but realize it, than to accept life unquestioningly.
Everything we shut our eyes to, everything we run away from, everything we deny, denigrate or despise, serves to defeat us in the end. What seems nasty,
painful, evil, can become a source of beauty, joy, and strength, if faced with an open mind. Every moment is a golden one for him who has the vision to recognize it as such.

May be that's what the LIFE is all about.

Take The Good With The Bad,
Smile With The Sad,
Love What You Got & Remember What You Had,
Always Forgive But Never Forget,
Learn From Your Mistakes But Never Regret,
People Change & Things Go Wrong…
But Just Remember, That Life Goes On!

its me, yet again!

Hmm, so It’s been 2 months. Two. Whole. Months. And a little bit more. And I totally take the blame for being missing all this while. What? There could be other
reasons yes? Not in this case really, here it’s just me, but there could be. That’s all I am saying.
I believe that I deserve to be banished from blogdom. Yes, I really do. Such long sabbaticals and so many times, can only be punished with some severe banishment.
I think.

But you can’t! Nobody can! Actually, blogger can, but it won’t. So here I am. Shamefaced, but nonetheless, back. Unless I lose my password or something,
which will catastrophic, but then there is always a ‘forgot password’ option to get me back on track, except, what if I forget the password to the email
account linked to this blog as well, in which case I am royally screwed. There is this secret question thing I know, which by the way is a total shame and
will not work, because very recently, when I tried resetting my ‘My Vodafone’ password after 3 years (yes 3 years, because I am suddenly in need of my bills,
because work makes me call Godforsaken Basel, and that costs quite a bit, so cost means reimbursement, which means need for a bill, which means an account
, because the hard copies go to my first ever office address, and fixing that needs faxing some docs, or visiting a store or something, which is much more
painful. You get the idea.), I realised that I the registered email id was from my old workplace. Pshaw. So no password, no email id. Yeah, so I tried
the secret question thing, and as always it was my mother’s name. Simple eh? Only, no it isn’t! Because when I punched in her name , it refused to accept
it. Finally it said, it would send me the answer to my phone. Yes, there was a ‘forgot secret answer’ option as well. And when I clicked that, I got an
SMS saying my mother’s name was ‘Sunitha’. Only, it is not. And also, I do not know any other Sunitha, and even if I did, I would not randomly change my
mom’s name to that, or name said person as my mom, and I would definitely not add the ‘h’ after the ‘t’ because, well, I think it is wrong. Sunitha comes
with a ‘chota t’ and not a ‘bada th’ and don’t ask me why I am telling you all this.

By the way, on a depressing note, I am working today. How I hate working on weekends..(especially when others at home are relaxing in the bed!)…

Song on my mind and in my ears – Pal by K.K. – inspired by a dream I saw last night, which you can guess now, if you relate it to the song. These days I have
been doom-dreaming quite often.. I wonder what it reflects..
Whatever…Do I care.. As someone told me once… “Eat, drink and enjoy…for tomorrow you may die(t).”
:D

By the way, me and two friends are planning to watch some French movie tomorrow..I don’t know the name..nothing.. will update once I watch it!

sheela ki kahani

Well, I’m doing a lot of socializing these days along with work.
Just yesterday, I had to meet the owner of a well known business house for discussing my new project with her.
Like I usually do, I’ve started the conversation by informal greeting, saying “hi, my name is prateek”.
It was her turn now, and she did so!
She introduced herself to me with a
"My name is Sheela.".
and I just gaped at her for five seconds, not knowing what to say.
All I can say
is that it took an immense amount of self-control not to say the next few lines, complete with the clapping hands dance movement.
Guess that's one more name that will be struck off the new editions of baby name books, along with Munni.

Seriously, It was really hard controlling myself, and an icing on the cake was her spectacular looks, which was just about opposite to our original sheela.
It took me a lot of efforts to control the laugh.
I wanted to get away from there and have a deafening laugh, but after all, she was client!

Ah, however, There may be a sheela reading this blog too, and trust me, I’m not at all trying to offend anyone.
I’m usually good with people, and since that song came, it was my first direct encounter with someone named sheela, which took me wild for that moment.
I’m sure to behave courteously with all sheelas from next time onwards. In fact, it’s a wonderful name!

Oh, and since I do not have anything more to say in this post, let me type the song “sheela ki javani” and see how much do I remember this hot and arousing melody.
So, here goes…!

first post of the year!

So this is the first post of this year. And mind you, its still January, last day though. Lol!

Well then, here's to another year of hard work, poor pay, multiple responsibilities, little acknowledgement, viciously short-sighted politics, rampant hysterical ignorance, rape torture and murder, and worst of all, a bland diet thanks to soaring grocery costs.

And also to small pleasures. Cha on the stairs, adda on campus, people who think, greasy fish-fries. Luck, hugs, solidarity and of course, friendship!

2011 seems like a great year so far. No disasters reported, no coups, tsunamis, recessions or even a major scam. There has been at least one uplifting event already, so the year has started well.

Oh, but it might not be a fair thing to pass judgement on 2011, rather, I must retreat to the dim and distant past. Specifically, to 2010. Which seems to have been a good year on the whole. Except perhaps for the Democratic Party in the USA. Or marine life in the Gulf of Mexico. And Ricky Ponting’s Umpire Education Policy. And Arun Nayar, who found that safety-pins cannot hold a marriage together. Or the Indian Railways in Uttar Pradesh, where 6 accidents were reported in January 2010 alone. And the General Post Office, Kolkata, where employees were taken to task at year-end because they could not achieve unreasonable targets (such as delivering letters on time, specifically a letter from the Home Minister of India). Further, this was not a good year for bond salesmen and stockbrokers in Greece, or for that matter in Iceland or Portugal. There was some talk of an economic crisis in Spain as well, but all calls to their Ministry of Finance yielded only a recorded message at about 98 decibels that went “OLEEEEEEEEE!!! GANAMOS!!!” (We won). Apart from these, 2010 seems to have gone off well.
It was also a very moving year. The earth moved early and often (no, I am not referring to intimate experiences.) In January, an earthquake in Haiti touched 7.0 on the Richter Scale. In February, there was an earthquake in Chile that touched 8.8; since the Richter Scale is logarithmic, that means it was nearly 100 times as powerful as the Haiti earthquake. The earth wasn’t done yet – it moved again in April in Qinghai, China; in June off the Andamans; and in October off the coast of Sumatra. And these were only the major ones reported! As a result, People magazine and Times Now had to change their definitions of movers and shakers.
2010 also saw major advances in scientific inquiry. Psychics and clairvoyants in india examined the possibility of grafting on six more arms apiece, but were baffled when informed that an octopus also has a beak. Later, conspiracy theorists had a field day when Paul the Octopus died. The most popular theory was that somebody had asked him to predict Rajnikanth’s death. In related news, Diego Maradona finally stopped throwing players off the team when it was pointed out to him that he had himself been thrown off the team. Elsewhere, scientists declared that they had developed a car that can run on water. As long as the water came from the Gulf of Mexico. On the other hand, some scientists expressed fears that if the oil spill got worse, we would have to start drilling for water. Unless the oil spill was diluted by melting ice caps, because global warming seemed a very real menace in 2010 (though trains tangoed in the fog in January and monkey-caps bloomed all over jaipur in December). The issue had come to public notice much earlier, when almost-President-of-the-USA Al Gore won an Oscar for “An Inconvenient Truth”, the highest-grossing PowerPoint presentation in history. Unfortunately for him, that did not cause any significant change in US public policy, such as declaring him the President.
The year that saw the rescue of the Chilean miners ended with a different kind of digging out. Julian Assange caused consternation when Wikileaks spilled the dirt on many governments, but allegations of an entirely different kind of leak dumped the dirt on him.
India has had its share of drama in 2010. The most heartening aspect was the spirit of innovation. Such as the provision of snakes in the Commonwealth Village, purportedly to make athletes from wilder climes feel at home (there is no truth in the rumour that the snakes story was really all about Gujarati catering). Or the proposal to solve one of India’s most contentious political issues by commissioning a temple-cum-mosque on the site – under the able stewardship of the CWG Organising Committee. Lalit Bhanot, poor man, caught some flak with his comment about Indian standards of hygiene; so much for speaking the truth. In related news, the External Affairs Ministry learnt of the existence of some countries only when these countries threatened to pull out of the Games.

All in all, 2010 was a rich period of history.

it has been an eventful and difficult year. With the things moving back and forth, my life too seemed to be in a constant state of upheaval. Specially for the memories of someone who used to talk on the phone for half an hour every day apart from having long leisurely conversation until we fell asleep--it nearly tore me alot in those good nice memories. Shanaya, wherever you are, i’m missing you.
Ah, never the less, Yet I had so much to be thankful for, and like we all know, its life, which just keeps moving.

In 2011, I want to try more consciously to improve my life, to not wait for circumstance but seek out what makes me happy. So I started with some of the lessons I've learned over the last year (and should have learned long ago really, and some of them I had and then forgot.

Hoping to have more bonded connection with you in this year.
Let me stop typing before i get wet in tears.
Wish you a great remaining year ahead!

completely uninteresting useless things!

Given that I have nothing interesting to write about, I’ll do the next best thing – write completely uninteresting useless things. If I can waste some precious minutes of my life, it’s only fair that the rest of the world does too.
So,
Most human beings, with the exception of certain specimens who I know to have nothing but clay on the top part of their anatomy, have brains. Inside this
amazing organ are little thought processes that sometimes can become one huge thought process finally dissipating away to just a thought or one huge thought
process that manifests itself as a related action with serious (or radioactive, as the case may be) repurcussions to the sustained well-being of this planet.

If you understood the last sentence, tell me. If you haven't, well, that’s two of us.

This is how a typical ‘thought’ progresses in yours truly’s brain (enough proof that I have one and it’s in a somewhat good condition) -

“Is that my phone ringing? No, my phone is right here and I don’t see it ring. Cool, I have nokia n96, but I spent 33 k on this.
Humph! You’d have to believe, am not joking.
Oh, but i not at all regret, at least because I’ve spent just about double on calls from it.
Valid, valid, when did I get that much of time to splurge this amount? I guess this cost includes the money I spent during my London and Tokyo trips.
Not bad, I say. I’ve flogged the money well. in any case, I’ve still spent pretty less then girl, she shopped a ring just about my total expenditure on call of whole year.
See, we boys are still so economical. Oh, this reminds, its been long I’ve seen those “college life” type serials, like “mile jab hum tum” or that on bindas, unable to remind the name. I didn’t watch TV much (except cricket matches), but mom did!
Oh man,she watches n number of daily soaps, I wonder how does she digest all those. Personally, I’ve been digesting quite a lot of food during days. Actually, have eaten range of stuff while traveling in different parts of world. Wonder what Mom made for dinner today, should call up and ask her. Nokia n96, all because of dad. He works so hard in office, travels a lot, do meetings, and actually does all these things to carry out what I need. Really, he is so good, oh, more then good, he’s best. Yep, but it reminds me, dad’s gonna be on TV on next Saturday. Though its just a lil interview with that stunningly hot anchor, but anyways, it matters a lot. After all, it’s the first time dad’s gonna be on TV, mom was once shown in a kitty party based show though. Hmm, parties, Weekend is approaching, oh, new year is approaching too!”

If you think you had a tough time reading that, imagine me – thinking all that! No wonder I’m losing it.

have a good time. Peace be with you.

Amen.

P.S: Please feel free to consider a Monday-blues post. I seem to live in a parallel universe where Friday is Monday. And Monday is still Monday.

a poem that caught my attention

The poem written below has caught my attention, and I just wanted to share this fantastic piece with you guys as well.
It’s a real short, yet one of the sweetest definitions of friendship, a method, a process that’s true!
Hope you guys will enjoy it.

I haven’t composed it, but a truth, I have memorized it and typing here the same, rather copy pasting.

Build a Box of Friendship
by: Chuck Pool,

---

Into a box of friendship
To insure that it is strong
First a layer of respect
On the bottom does belong
Then to the sides attach
In the corners where they meet
Several anchors full of trust
Devoid of all deceit
The height of friendship can be measured
By the sides of four
So make them all a larger cut
And the box will hold much more
Now fill it up with courtesy
Honor and esteem
Understanding, sympathy
And passion for a dream
Add to that your honesty
Emotions joy and love
And since they're so important
Place them up above
But leave the box wide open
So all can see inside
To learn what makes a friendship work
From the box you built with pride!

hurray! that's what is the friendship, really!
